2eating apples, unpeeled, chopped
250 gkale
3 tbspvegetable oil
4bay leaves
2 sprigsrosemary
1 handfulfresh sage, roughly torn
1 tspfennel seeds
1 pinchdried red chilli flakes
150 gpuy lentils, rinsed
25 gsunflower or pumpkin seeds
½ tspsalt
½ tspwhite pepper
To serve: crusty bread, hummus, white bean dip or baba ganoush
