Ingredients - Serves 2

| 2 tbsp | vegan butter |
| 2 tbsp | gram flour |
| 1 tsp | onion powder |
| ½ tsp | garlic powder |
| ½ tsp | ground turmeric |
| ½ tsp | Black Salt (Kala Namak) |
| ½ tsp | Dijon mustard |
| 150 ml | almond milk |
| 1 tbsp | nutritional yeast |
| 1 pinch | black pepper |
| 1 tbsp | tamari soy sauce, or Henderson's Relish |
| 1 tbsp | olive oil, for frying |
| 340 g | silken firm tofu |
| 10 g | chives, finely chopped |
Method
British cooking note
If your oven runs fan-assisted, drop the temperature by 20°C from the figure given. UK supermarket plant milks vary in fat content - Oatly Barista works particularly well for sauces.
