| 1 tbsp | maple syrup |

| 1/4 tsp | ground nutmeg |
| 1/4 tsp | kala namak (black salt), optional |
| 4 thick slices | stale brioche or sourdough |
| 1.1 oz (30 g) | vegan butter, for frying |
